The Visit From John Fardell

hi guys ,
You might of guessed from my title that I am going to talk about a visit from John Fardell,
well if you did, you guessed right if you guessed wrong - LOOK BACK AT THE TITLE!!!
I hope you all have heard of the wonderful author John Fardell and if you have not I hope I can
tell you all the information in this post.

Now you might be thinking if John is an author why is he on a art blog
well John is also a great illustrator too, and to celebrate the Beverly literature festival he came in to our school and gave some drawing tips and some writing tips.
I don`t think there was anyone in our class that did not enjoy themselves!And I hope John had fun too!

John has published six books: 3 picture books and 3 chapter book in a series.
 And we all got a chance to buy one and get it signed!

cool craft in a perfect party

Hiya great followers!!!
Today is very near my birthday (one DAY!!)and I am excited!!
Not only am I having a party I having a craft party!

a new home for my art

Yesterday I went into town and I got a new note pad it is beautiful and NO LINES !!!!!!!!!!!

Everywhere I went I couldn't find a big note pad with NO lines, they were all with lines, and went into town knowing that there would be a note pad without lines in WH Smith. But before I could get to WH Smith my sister wanted a book from the works that she needed so I left her in the book section while I went off to the art section and  I saw this beautiful note pad and with NO lines and for a great price 2.99!!-----

Of course I bought it I couldn't miss this opportunity!!!!
Then after I had bought it I just looked at the back and it said that it was 9.99!!!! That's what I call a bargain!!

As soon as I got home I started drawing and this came:

When you can't think of what to draw, just force your pen on the paper and see what happens!

hi everyone
how are you doing?
I had a note on my desk saying do the cat post for nearly  two whole days !
so I need to do it now because my dad needs it in a sec -  so I'm typing as fast as my fingers can go!!!
So this is a cat's face ..........Tada............(everyone claps!)

The blazing sun.

Hi everyone!!!!
Here's a picture I drew while I was on holiday:

I didn't know what to draw so then suddenly out of the blue (well not out of the blue out of the cloud) it got really sunny so I looked at the sun then I have a good idea and this came! I thought of all of the things that happens around the sun. So, just follow an arrow and see where it takes you. For example, one arrow takes you to moon, and then I thought of rain, and I thought of sea, and then, boats, then transport, then areplanes, then people - which leads back to the sun. You might notice that all of the arrows end at the people, and then to the sun. A revolving circle of life!! :D

I went through a lot of wrong ones before this master piece came a amazed you!!
Its strange I go wrong when I'm on real paper but I ran out so I was using scrap paper and I got this !!!!
Weird!!!!!
 I will need to start using scrap more often but I tried that ones and it just happened again ( the other way round!).

colours

I`m sure your thinking when you saw my title that I`m just going to name the colours and tell you the primary colours and that. Well ,I`m not so don`t look at the title and go oh shes doing colours because colours aren't just about drawing a pretty picture without colours the would would be so plain, so boring. Colours make stuff stand out and stare you in the eye until you notice it. Then people thought of using it in pictures to make there art work jump out at you - even black and white is colour you cant even imagine a world without any colours. Sometimes I think someone, before anyone on this planet, came round and painted everything for us. Just think that if someone or something went wrong and throwed us away just like we throw away pieces of paper. Maybe he went though six worlds before he got to us and got it spot on. So we do need to look after this world or that someone might throw us away and make a new world without any colours....

I uploaded this pic to show you the colours. I know most of you know your colours from when you were in nursery but you might not know how to make them. So, that's what this colour wheel is all about - the three middle colours are called the primary colours and the colour above each of them are the colour that it makes eg:blue and yellow make green. so above blue and yellow is green and the Green the Orange and the purple are called secondary colours and the third row is called Tishri colours.

My favourite colour is yellow because it is bright like the sun on a blazing hot summer day.

A drawing game

I love playing the drawing game where someone draws a random squiggle and you have to turn it into something. I started off drawing a tree but my friend knocked me and I went all wobbly and I thought it looked a  monster and so that what I did but I made it  cute! I`m sure you can make something out something simple like a tree all you do is close your eyes do a squiggle(I like that word!!!) and turn it into something new  hope you had as much fun as I did !
